This is a follow-up to the “Important Announcement” article posted on the 12th of August 2006, regarding the computer failure that wrong-footed me a couple of months ago.
While any attempt to recover the data buried in the hard disk has been futile —neither Apple Store nor another data recovery company I had the computer sent to were able to do anything about it— and the lost data stays lost, with absolutely no chance to ever be recovered, I have managed to get my hands on most of the stuff that was important, such as e-mail addresses and some of the designs and photos. Basically, since most of the work–related stuff is back in place —and backed-up systematically now— I can safely say that I am back on track and everything should be all right.
However, not being able to contact anybody unless they contacted me first, I assume that there are still a few people that haven’t seen the announcements on this blog and on the website.
So, if you were expecting an e-mail from me —no matter how long ago— please contact me again and resend your last message, so I can remember what we were discussing. I don’t have your e-mail address anymore and, unless you write me, I won’t be able to get in touch with you.
Again, I apologize for any inconvenience and, especially, for the long delay.
